The short answer is: no.
The longer answer is: in hip surgery leg length changes of up to several centimeters may occur. This is not the case in knee surgery: we are respecting the tension of the ligaments around the knee, which results in a margin of only a few millimeters. However, indirect effects, like the fact that a strongly bowed leg or a knee which can again be fully extended after the operation may lead tot he sensation of a changed leg length.
