You have already met or surpassed your first goals. You will now head home from the clinic to start the outpatient rehabilitation phase or you will move on to a rehabilitation facility. Before you leave the hospital, all uncertainties have been clarified and you have received all necessary documentation.
Check-ups
- After two weeks you will have a check-up with your family doctor to remove the stitches and, if necessary, to adjust your pain medication and to receive your sick leave certificate.
- You have scheduled an entry date with one of our partner clinics for in-house rehabilitation. On this website you can find a list of these recommended Swiss Rehab Clinics.
- You may have arranged appointments for intensive out-patient post-operation therapeutic care at a trusted physiotherapy practice. If necessary, you will receive a list of possible physiotherapists.
- If you spend the first phase at a rehabilitation clinic, you obviously do not have to visit your family doctor, who would definitely, however, be pleased to hear how you are progressing.
Follow-up check
As planned, six weeks after the operation you will see Prof. Arnold for the first time for a check-up with X-rays. However, in the event of uncertainties you or your physiotherapist can contact us by Email at any time.
